CREWKERNE

A rural small town, South Somerset

The Diary
is not delivered to Crewkerne but will be dropped there soon – watch this space to find out where
Crewkerne is a bustling market town in Somerset. The town maintains a majority of the attraction from the previous centuries and is home to some very beautiful Georgian architecture in its famous town centre. It is possible that during the 12th century a castle once sat upon a site very close to the town. Archaeological research has discovered a ditch around the hilltop, with a masonry square within it, while fragments of 12th century pottery have also been found on the site. This site has since 1839 been termed a castle site.
